Company History

The company started as Nairobi Radiotherapy Centre in February 2005 with the aim of providing unavailable radiotherapy services. The centre was located at Hurlingham with a 100Kv unit mainly for superficial radiotherapy. Superficial conditions are purely benign diseases affecting the skin such as keloids, myocosis fungoides.

Due to the increasing demand for deep therapy treatment the centre acquired a 250Kv Orthovoltage equipment which started work in October 2008. The new equipment offers superficial treatment (SXT) and deep therapy treatment (DXT). DXT are procedures that treat cancerous tissues both on the skin and deep structures of the body. The centre rebranded to Nairobi Radiotherapy and Cancer Centre and incorporated chemotherapeutic agents and was registered as a limited company on the 24th of April 2009.
